Great idea for archiving data when you max out your large-volume storage device. In my case it was a Hewlett Packard Personal Media Drive with 750 Gb of storage space. I found the price of the Philips 8x DVD+R Double Layer 50-Pack agreeable (on sale, no less), liked the fact that the transaction was (for once) not cross-border and ordered two (2) cakes. Order was delivered within two business days and by that evening I was on my way to freeing up drive space. The discs format out to 8.0 Gb; do the math and I've got potentially 800 Gb for the price of most 1 Tb external media drives. Burn times for data files are approximately 30 to 40 minutes (with write-at-once and verification checked). So far (knock-on-wood) no bad burns / wasted discs. The Inkjet-printable layer also works fine for Sharpie markers and leave lots of space for writing. Overall a good purchase, and I will highly consider Megadiscstore.com for future purchases.
